Invested in high-quality, custom-designed sportswear and want it to look bright and flawless for as long as possible? The good news is that sublimated polyester is extremely easy to maintain, but a few important tips will help you maximise its life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wash in cool water and tip out.<\/strong> Hot water can gradually affect the polyester fibres. It is best to wash clothes in cool or lukewarm water (up to 30-40\u00b0C). Always turn the garment inside out before washing to protect the bright print from rubbing against other garments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach.<\/strong> Sublimated clothing does not require aggressive chemicals. Choose a mild detergent for coloured fabrics. Strictly avoid bleaches, especially those containing chlorine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give up fabric softener!<\/strong> This is one of the most important tips. Fabric softeners coat polyester fibres with a thin film that clogs the fabric’s micropores, destroying the fabric’s most important characteristic – its ability to evaporate moisture efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dry naturally or at low temperature.<\/strong> The best way to dry sportswear is to hang it up and let it dry naturally. Polyester dries very quickly. If you are using a tumble dryer, select the lowest temperature setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not compare (or compare very carefully).<\/strong> Polyester is virtually wrinkle-free, so ironing will usually not be necessary. If it is still necessary, iron through a protective cloth and use the lowest temperature of the iron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
